About this concert
TICKETS ON-SALE FRIDAY, JULY 14TH at 10AMGA Tickets $49.50 - VIP GA Tickets $85 (includes prime seating and a meet/greet)This two-night engagement is a spin-off of Emmanuel’s 2016 release, Christmas Memories and his 2011 release All I Want For Christmas. The albums feature new arrangements for Yuletide classics such as "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Jingle Bells," and "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" and new original Christmas songs such as “Let’s Make A Christmas Memory” and “Artificial Christmas Tree”. Each show will feature two sets of music: the first will be solo, and will consist of Emmanuel playing fan favorite material, along with selections from his brand new album, Live! At The Ryman. In the second set, Emmanuel will be performing Christmas classics with his friends Pat Bergeson, John Knowles CGP, and Annie Sellick. A noted finger-style guitarist, Emmanuel frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-man band who handles the melody, the supporting chords, and the bass all at once. His talents, which translate in any language, carry him to the far corners of the globe, but Emmanuel never plays the same show twice as he improvises big chunks of every show.About Tommy Emmanuel: A master technician, Emmanuel started professionally at age six, rising through the ranks as a studio player and member of several Australian rock bands before he set off on a solo career. One of only five musicians handpicked by his mentor, Chet Atkins, as a Certified Guitar Player (CGP), Emmanuel has piled up numerous accolades, including two Grammy nominations, and two ARIA Awards from the Australian Recording Industry Association. He’s been voted Favorite Acoustic Guitarist in both Guitar Player Magazine and Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s reader polls, and is a YouTube sensation. His videos have over 30,000,000 views with over 330,3000 subscribers. Tommy has also been seen in his Public Television pledge specials Center Stage, Tommy Emmanuel & Friends, Live & Solo in Pensacola, and Music Gone Public.

FINALLY crossed seeing Tommy off my bucket list and it was better than anticipated! That man is a showman!! Tougher to keep an audience entertained as a solo performer with a sparse stage and no backing band, but Tommy NEVER stops! He most definitely is a CGP, as bestowed by Chet Atkins. Any guitar fan needs to see him at least once. The openers were amazing Nashville musicians, Trey Henley and Rob Ickes. Great players. 👍

Tommy Emmanuel Biography

Tommy Emmanuel, CGP has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. At age six, he was touring Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock lead guitarist playing stadiums. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a "Certified Guitar Player (CGP)" by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays sold-out shows everywhere from Nashville to London to Sydney. Influenced by the Merle Travis/Chet Atkins fingerstyle of guitar pickin', Emmanuel developed a style of solo guitar playing that encompasses the range of a whole band - covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar, and vocal melody simultaneously. While some artist take a band on the road, Tommy build a complete sonic world entirely on his own with no overdubs or loops. Tommy has multiple Grammy nominations, a 3 time Aria Award Winner (Australia’s Grammys), countless "Guitar Player” awards, and he was now numerous magazine polls naming him the greatest acoustic guitarist alive. He’s grateful for it all. For Tommy though, the greatest reward is always the same - to make the next great record and to see the beaming audience at the next great show.
