Ferera Swan Biography

Ferera Swan is an artist, singer-songwriter, composer, producer, pianist, violinist, and GRAMMY voting member of The Recording Academy, having actively worked in the recording industry since 2006.
By inspiring others with her story through music as an artist, adoptee, and activist for adoption reform, Ferera has been utilizing the powerful tool of social media to educate the public on maternal separation, relinquishment, and adoption trauma. She also serves as a member of the board of directors at Support Texas Adoptee Rights (STAR) .

Her music give fans a brand-new perspective on this artist from the inside out: uncovering the struggle of internal conflict and ongoing journey of healing through unfiltered honesty, Ferera reveals an intimate collection of messages relevant to all of us, reaching the hearts of all listeners.
Her new single, “Second Time” was produced by Ramy Antoun (former drummer for Seal & founder of A&F Drum Co.) and includes the work of Jacob Hildebrand (Miranda Lambert), Jake Riley (The Spazmatics), Sergio Andrade (Lifehouse); and engineered by the multi GRAMMY award-winning F. Reid Shippen.

With a foundation in classical music, Ferera began piano lessons with music theory and ear training at age three in Houston, Texas. Three years later, she picked up the violin. After learning that she was adopted at age ten, Ferera poured unanswered questions into music and wrote her first song at age twelve. This was followed by her first cinematic score at age fourteen titled 'Serenity', which was premiered by four orchestras with a turnout of over 2,ooo people. Her original piece 'Lighthouse' was featured as a highlight piece in the soundtrack for the film documentary, Swim For The Reef. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2016.

To date, Ferera has released two studio albums under two previous artist names and two singles as Ferera Swan.
She has written with notable hit-song writers including Pam Sheyne (co-writer of GRAMMY award-winning Christina Aguilera's 'Genie In A Bottle') and Vince Melamed (Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, and co-writer of Trisha Yearwood ft. Don Henley's 'Walkaway Joe'). Ferera’s voice has been featured on commercial jingles including a national advertisement for Old Navy, and she has been a featured guest performing live on radio & televesion. Having performed in major cities across the nation in the South and Western regions including Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, and more, Ferera plans to continue touring nationwide in support of her forthcoming music and projects.
