History in the Making - Virtuoso guitarist Jason Vieaux will perform and record Leshnoffs Guitar Concerto, a showcase that draws on both classical Spanish guitar and the composers own deep Jewish spirituality. Ravel is one of the great orchestrators -a composer who knew how to bring out rich colors and textures through his use of instrumentation. Le Tombeau de Couperin is a Baroque-inspired piece for a smaller orchestra, while Rapsodie espagnole is a Spanish-flavored piece that captures the full scope of the orchestra.
