In 2017, the Swabian power group returned to the scene with founding members Matthias Sayer (vocals), Alex Scholpp (guitar) and Ralf Botzenhart (bass) as well as with their two new members Timm Schreiner (drums) and Richard Düe (keyboard) – achieving sold out concert venues and making an impact on new and old fans alike. They swiftly signed with Nuclear Blast sublabel Arising Empire. In 2018, the FARMER BOYS will make a full throttled return; taking to the stage again and releasing their new album »Born Again« - to make this year one of the most successful of their career.

The unique magic of this band is back – with their triumphant and all-embracing vocals, the crisp, accomplished guitar playing, the dramatic keyboards and the grooving drums. FARMER BOYS singer Matthias Sayer comments: "For us, this album is much more than a comeback: it is a path, our way, a mission and a destination at the same time, the past years in the distance are the key to this great new chapter. We look forward to seeing you!"

The FARMER BOYS 2018 appear as clearly matured songwriters, their music forms a balanced impression, the riffs and melodies flow into each other seamlessly, without losing any heaviness or getting too pop-y. So the real question is; how did we all survive so long without this band?

Beginning in the 90s, the band re-wrote international music history and even today, the FARMER BOYS can’t be pigeonholed. They present their explosive mix with a chunky and unique sound. The largest festivals, major labels, Vans Warped Tour through the USA, shows with RAMMSTEIN, DEFTONES and METALLICA... the first announcement expressing the return of the FARMER BOYS was followed by a tremendous response, which has blown the band away; "After a lot of hard work in the studio, the album »Born Again« is finally finished and we can not wait to play it live! Our shows will include new songs as well as all our old hits", guitarist Alex smiles: Here comes the pain!

Mit einem Paukenschlag kehrte in 2017 der schwäbische Powertrupp um die drei Bandgründer Matthias Sayer (Gesang), Alex Scholpp (Gitarre) und Ralf Botzenhart (Bass) samt den beiden Neuzugängen Timm Schreiner (Schlagzeug) und Richard Düe (Keyboard) auf die Bildfläche zurück. Einfach so füllten sie die ersten Konzerthallen, machten großen Eindruck bei neuen und ihren langjährigen Fans und kündigten dann die neue Vertragsabschließung mit Nuclear Blast-Ableger Arising Empire an. In 2018 folgt nun der große Knall, denn die FARMER BOYS sind nun komplett aus dem Rock‘n‘Roll-Nirwana in unserer Mitte und live auf der Bühne angekommen, um erneut einen kometenhaften Aufstieg aufs Parkett zu legen und dieses Jahr zu ihrem erfolgreichsten zu machen.

Ganz klar: Er ist wieder da, der alte Zauber, der diese Band so unverwechselbar macht. Der große, triumphierende und die ganze Welt umarmende Gesang, das mal knackig harte, mal virtuose Gitarrenspiel, die dramatischen Keyboards, die pumpenden Drums. Der FARMER BOYS-Sänger, Matthias Sayer, kommentiert: „Dieses Album ist für uns viel mehr als ein Comeback: es ist ein Weg, unser Weg, Mission und Bestimmung zugleich. Die Jahre in der Ferne sind nun der Schlüssel für dieses große Kapitel. Wir freuen uns auf euch!"

Die FARMER BOYS 2018 erscheinen als deutlich gereifte Songwriter, ihre Musik macht einen erwachsenen und ausgewogenen Eindruck, die Riffs und Melodien fließen viel mehr ineinander, ohne dass man Härte einbüßen oder zu viel Pop zulassen würde. Mal so unter uns: Wie haben wir es eigentlich so lange ohne diese Band ausgehalten?

Bereits in den Neunzigern schrieb die Band internationale Musikgeschichte. Und die FARMER BOYS denken auch heute nicht daran, dem Schubladenwahn zu unterliegen und pusten die vielen Fragezeichen hinter ihrem explosiven Mix mit einem dicken, fetten Sound-Ausrufezeichen weg. Major-Label, die größten Festivals, Vans Warped Tour in den USA, Tourneen mit RAMMSTEIN, DEFTONES und METALLICA. Einer ersten Ankündigung über die Wiederkehr der FARMER BOYS folgte eine gewaltige Resonanz, die die Band ziemlich beeindruckt hat. „Nach langer, harter Arbeit im Studio ist das Album »Born Again« endlich fertig und wir können es kaum abwarten wieder rauszugehen und live zu spielen! Natürlich mit neuen Songs und allen unseren alten Hits!“, freut sich Gitarrist Alex Scholpp: Here comes the pain!
