drug Biography
In the current state of the music industry, it’s refreshing to hear an instrumentalist give attention to detail to their craft. Music comes naturally for Greenville, South Carolina native Drug and through exquisite storytelling and stage control, he gives alternative R&B tantalizing feel. Drug has been writing and recording music since the 5th grade but came into himself as a solo artist in 2013.
Music for most is medicine and Drug’s alleviating voice provides a cure, seamlessly combining contemporary RnB with alternative rock. Channeling Usher, Brian McKnight, Justin Timberlake, and Marc Broussard as his musical influences, he found his sound which landed him on stages throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale and South Carolina.
The release of his first project, Moonlight 2.0 vol. 1 (the live sessions) attracted packed shows and constant social media engagement which showed true support from friends, family, and fans. With a raw, soulful and eclectic feel, the four-track project made room for a new sound in South Florida. For Drug, it’s now or never. As an independent artist, he plans to allow his music to reach the world, heal the soul, and find love one song at a time.
