Are you ready for some Swamp Pop? Welcome to southwest Louisiana's answer to R&B and Rock 'n' Roll! With origins that came out of New Orleans, Memphis and Detroit in the 1950s, The Revelers embrace this unstoppable sound and add their own special mix of Cajun, Country, Blues and Zydeco into a powerful tonic of Roots Music. As individuals, members of The Revelers have preformed with some of the music industry's best, including T-Bone Burnett, Natalie Merchant and Linda Ronstadt, to name a few, but together this super group plays with a sense of empathy and depth that can only be fostered after years of making music together.

These guys always put on a great show, a blend of old time Cajun tunes with their take on "swamp pop" which I would describe as a little more rockabilly. Their musicianship is great, from the accordion to the fiddle, guitar, bass, drums, and sax (an unusual choice for a swamp band but it works). And they just have a great time playing which makes for a fun experience all around. I've seen them three times now in California and would love to see them in their home stomping grounds. Michael Doucet and Steve Riley watch out - these guys are catching up fast!
