Out of Sydney city’s bristling underground scene, vocalist and producer Kid Fiction has made a name for himself with his own unique brand of dizzying electronica and moody pop aesthetics. Cutting lines through a seemingly endless landscape of musical influences, from Soulful Dub and RnB, to Footwork, Future Beats and Warp-styled IDM. His music is rich with animation, melody and memory. Familiar but new, grounded always in roots but with eyes on the horizon. Often drawing lyrical inspiration from world events, his songs reflect a world in transition, crisis and rebirth. Leaning heavily into the surreal while maintaining a connection to lived experience. Known for his spirited live sets, his music has brought him to big stages at home and abroad, from Listen Out, Subsonic and Yours & Owls to the London Music Conference, Sofar Sounds (London), Club Gretchen (Berlin) and an opening set in The Box at Ministry Of Sound, London.
