Danbient

Danbient is the alter ego of Cincinnati native Dan Barger. Dan, a multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer, is a chameleon in the music industry. Having played in numerous musical projects with widely ranging styles such as Freekbass and the Bump Assembly (funk), The Cliftones (reggae), Los Honchos (dirty grit soul), Zumba and Rumbon (traditional Cuban, Puerto Rican and salsa), Bob Ross Quartet (modern original jazz), Space Dub (freely improvised quartet) and others, Dan made the bold choice to embark on this new musical journey.

Danbient is not like many things you have heard or seen. The combination of infectious grooves with ambient textures makes the music alone other-worldly. Part EDM, part electro-jazz, described as “Dr. Dre meets Blade Runner”, the music gives the listener duality of bathing in the soundscapes or dancing to the pulsating beats. Add to this a projection show specifically designed to enhance the overall experience and the cape-clad, otherworldly presence of Danbient on stage, creates a prime environment for the seekers willing and ready to embrace their connection to the stars.
