London based singer-song writer Niall Keels is fast becoming one of the most talked about songwriters in the UK & Ireland, culminating in the release of the truly epic new single ‘Surrender’. Formerly known as Empire Divide, the band fronted by Niall were critically praised for their ethereal, Radiohead-esque sound on their debut ‘Velvet Sky’. The band then took a break where Niall concentrated on songwriting, notably working with chart topping songwriter Jessica Sharman ( Ward Thomas ) In a stylistic shift, Niall now draws his main inspiration from heroes Jonny Cash, Phil Collins and Bruce Springsteen. No stranger to the music industry, Keels boasts an impressive CV having toured with The Augustines, Catfish and The Bottlemen and Young Rebel Set. The production marries atmospheric pads with heavily reverberated drums, anchored by perfectly harmonized vocal hooks. Emotive music at it’s finest, swelling perfectly to a cadence at the end of each phrase. ‘Surrender’ is pure reflection music. Orchestrated and performed with a level of experience & passion rarely seen from a breakthrough artist.
