S.T.R.A.P Biography
S.T.R.A.P acronym for Sound That Roars African Pride, is a Ugandan Hip hop artist from Kampala, Uganda that is currently based out of Kansas.
As a child he was heavily influenced by Nas, Fugees, Pete Rock, JDilla and Reggae acts such as Bob Marley, Burning Spear and Peter Tosh. S.T.R.A.P began writing rhymes at the age of 11 and gradually transitioned into battle rapping as a teenager.
He then moved to the US in 2008 to attend a University and, during that Christmas break, recorded his first song with his cousin Paul Nyakatura. The rest was history after that.
He debuted his album "Daily Reflection" on the 28th February 2014. This project depicts the life of a Ugandan rapper, living in Kansas battling the day to day trials and tribulations that, go hand in hand with the obstacles faced when reaching for your dreams. The rhythms are witty with a lot of double-entendres and punchlines. His a lyricist to the purist and his music carries a lot of underlying messages designed to create a vivid images for the mind.
