The Jingles Biography

THE JINGLES - Best experienced live.

Uplifting feel good grooves and rock n roll, The jingles break the barrier between band and audience, improvising and Joking, absorbing everyone into their great mood.

Frontman Jonathan Flack(Aus) teamed up with drummer Rauno Vaher(Est) to form their duo 'J&R' in Tallinn 2013 and developed a dynamic live act over the next two years culminating in the recording of a debut EP ‘Good Summertime’

It was just after the completion of 'Good Summertime' in August of 2015, they met and began collaborating with a rhythm/lead guitarist Hain Hoppe(Est). Jumping on stage together for the first time at the Uue Maailma Tänavafestival still as 'J&R'.

Realising they were no longer a duo anymore and feeling the need for bass Rauno invited Bombillaz Bass player Tanel Liiberg(Est) to a casual audition with them at a weekend band camp shortly after. Everyone instantly got along so well, naturally, they became a band.

The Jingles wrote and recorded their first song together ‘Love a little bit’ at that first band camp which they decided to enter into the ‘Eesti Laul’ (an Estonian competition to represent the country in Eurovision song contest) and were accepted into the semi-finals.

The band was still too green and unknown to make a real impact on the country but the sudden media attention and competition pressure fused the band together and kick started their journey having them play many live shows in different contexts over the next year.

Although excited to record an album The Jingles realised that the music can't be rushed and that the most important thing for them currently is the process of development and connection with their audience.

Deciding to hold an album back until all the songs are 'cooked'. They plan to build their fan base and release official bootlegs of their live shows and private recordings while developing their live show.
