Out of all of his works, Vivaldi's "Gloria" shows a genius in utter command of his powers. Rich with glowing color, driving energy and a unique ability to stir the soul, this divine hymn from the 1700s still remains ever-popular to this day, making its way into films such as "Shine" and "The Hunter". It's the perfect capstone to a Seattle Symphony concert event that features the talents of conductor/violinist/countertenor Dmitry Sinkovsky and the Northwest Boychoir. Don't miss this dazzling performance, which also includes Vivaldi's Violin Concerto in D major and Bach's Sinfonia in G minor, at Benaroya Hall's Taper Auditorium.
