Greg Beamish Biography

songwriter . He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and first garnered recognition for his emcee battle success in the Greater Vancouver Area. He later rose to local prominence after releasing the record Premium Boss Playa Status and sharing stages with artists such as Action Bronson, Ghostface Killah, Redman, and Kool Keith.

Beamish's first studio album, Premium Boss Playa Status (2011), spawned the moderate hit single "One, Two, Three". Featuring production solely from Vancouver production legend Stroker Deluca, the release solidified Beamish as one of the premier up and coming artists in Western Canada. In promotion of Premium Boss Playa Status, Beamish embarked on the Western Canadian Iced Out Tour with fellow Vancouver rapper Evil Ebenezer. Later that same year, Beamish was also a featured artist on the Velocirap Tour alongside legendary American hip hop DJ, Kut Master Kurt. His highly anticipated second studio album, Disposable Income, was released in September 2013. in November 2013 Beamish performed shows in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan in support for his upcoming release.

Greg Beamish was born in Vancouver BC and raised in Richmond BC and later Tsawwassen BC. His mother died after a lengthy battle with breast cancer when he was 15. His father is a respected Canadian sports news reporter. Beamish graduated from South Delta Secondary School in 2002 and had plans to play professional baseball after a successful high school career. After injuring himself back-country snowboarding in the Coast Mountains, he was forced to retire from baseball. Beamish would later pursue a career in the music industry after earning a certificate in Media Design from The British Columbia Institute of Technology. Both of his parents were not entirely supportive of his musical ventures. Beamish was six years old when hip hop first came in to his life by way of Ice T, NWA, and Dr. Dre, artists introduced to him by a friends older brother.
