The eclectic Jazz Verse Jukebox first show of 2018 is Friday 16th February at Hoxton Hall, London. Described as “the perfect jazz poetry party” (Michael Horovitz), the JAZZ VERSE JUKEBOX continues the age-old tradition of intertwining jazz improvisation and spoken word. Join us for what promises to be a thrilling night of diverse spoken word & jazz from some of the freshest exponents on the scene. Plus a ‘Jukebox’ Open Mic for poets & singers. Award winning Broadcaster and Vocalist, Jumoké Fashola combines her love of music & spoken word in a series of MONTHLY evenings at Hoxton Hall, London designed to stimulate the senses, sooth the soul and energise the eardrums.

The JAZZ VERSE JUKEBOX continues the age-old tradition of intertwining jazz and performance poetry, offering an opportunity to hear some of the best established and up & coming performance poets; celebrity guests reading their favorite poetry and live jazz; plus a unique ‘jukebox’ open mic, allowing the audience to showcase their skills of jazz improvisation or spoken word.
