Tasi

Tasi (tah-see) translates to "ocean" in drummer Tony Barcinas' native language of Chamorro. The band formed in December 2012 when friends Tony Barcinas and Jeff Hanewinkel(bass) created a project that combines the sound and vibe of the islands, with the diverse St. Louis music scene. Tasi's progressive style cannot be categorized as just reggae. Throughout a live set you will hear them smoothly morph style and tone into an eclectic blend of rock, blues, soul and R&B. Front man Tommy Gayfield and lead guitarist, Zack Reckamp are sure to keep you entertained as Ethan on keys, Tony on drums and Jeff on bass will keep you moving and groovin' with the rhythm section.
