Al Di Meola -- one of the world's most respected shredders, famed for his speed and precision on the electric guitar -- hits the stage at The Rose in Pasadena with his "Elegant Gypsy 40th Anniversary Tour" tour, spotlighting two of his signature discs, along with his new release "Elysium". The Latin jazz pioneer kicked off his lengthy career as a part of the best-selling jazz-rock fusion supergroup Return To Forever with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White, and has since released more than 20 albums as a leader-composer. He's also been named Best Jazz Guitarist in "Guitar Player" magazine four times. "Elegant Gypsy" boasts some of Di Meola's most famous cuts, including "Mediterranean Sundance" and "Race with Devil on Spanish Highway," a virtuoso-challenging concert favorite.
