Johanna Jingnert Biography
Johanna Jingnert is a singer and songwriter from Sweden.
She writes pop with big influences from jazz and soul, inspired by artists like Sara Bareilles, Allen Stone, India Arie, Lisa Nilsson and Esperanza Spalding. She's drawn to the organic sound and loves when it feels raw and real.
She grew up in Gothenburg and started to sing at weddings when she was 8 years old. In high school she studied music for 3 years and two years later she moved to Skåne to study more music. During these years she discovered the passion of songwriting.
The year of 2012 Johanna started a band, they now been playing at different festivals around in Sweden and also at some venues in Copenhagen. Examples of festivals: Torsjö Live, Gullbrannafestivalen, Malmöfestivalen, Göteborgs kulturkalas and Jazz Under Stjärnorna where they had the opportunity to play with the very talented trombone player Nils Landgren.
