JPRiZM is known around Boston for his energetic performances as an MC and for his debut hip-hop LP 'Mindwalker', but he’s stepping into new territory in 2017, starting with his single “Heroin (My Love)” featuring Berklee’s Jennie.O. JPRiZM—known by fellow artists as PRiZZY, by family and friends as Jared Price—is breaking into the national scene as a performer, writer, and producer. In every aspect of his art, he creates a world for listeners to explore, or even to get lost in. “I’d often lose myself in the melodies I would play and teleport myself into a faraway galaxy where everything was an adventure,” he says, describing his creative process for the tracks he’s preparing to unleash this year. 'Mindwalker', JPRiZM’s 2014 debut, was named one of the top 50 hip hop albums that year by CMJ and peaked at number six on the CMJ Hip Hop chart. He has also produced music for advertisements for First Aid Shot Therapy, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and AG47 New Wave Bonded Boardshort. JPRiZM recently released a new single with Jennie.O, "Heroin (My Love)," available now on all major digital music platforms. He also has collaborations with Maccie (What Went Wrong MGMT, Canada), Joelle James (Roc Nation, Kevin Hart’s 'What Now?' w/ Chris Brown on Universal Music Group), and Amanda Holley (Tommy Boy) coming this year, and will release his own electronic/future bass (or as he calls it, “wavvy trap/dream bass”) EP, 'Waves', this summer. JPRiZM is an artist, a producer, a writer, and a creator. His work forges a visceral experience for the listener, taking them to whatever place filled his mind in the creation.
