PERFORMERS Nashville Symphony Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor Johannes Moser, cello PROGRAM Christopher Rouse - Ogoun Badagris Live Recording Tchaikovsky - Variations on a Rococo Theme Enrico Chapela - Magnetar, Concerto for Electric Cello Copland - Symphony for Organ & Orchestra History in the Making - the orchestra will record Rouses Ogoun Badagris, a heavily rhythmic piece inspired by Haitian voodoo rituals. Cellist Johannes Moser will perform on two works. The first is Tchaikovskys Variations on a Rococo Theme, which is full of lush, romantic melodies. Moser will also perform on contemporary Mexican composer Enrico Chapelas innovative Magnetar, Concerto for Electric Cello, which combines a specially made electric cello with guitar pedals for some truly stunning effects - its a truly one-of-a-kind musical experience. The Copland Symphony will showcase the incredible sound of the Martin Foundation Concert Organ surrounded by the full orchestra.
