Spooky Bizzle

"The DJ's DJ of grime, Spooky Bizzle is another important grime historian, but also a powerhouse when it comes to keeping it alive on today's dancefloors. As a producer he shook grime to its foundations with his 'Spartan' beat in 2010, and all his releases show just how minimalist and abrupt grime can be while still keeping its impact and danceability." (Joe Muggs, 2013) “Simply put, if every DJ had the work ethic and was a bit more like Spooky, the world would be a much better place!” (Elijah, 2014) Kick-started his career on the pirate radio circuit in early 2002 on Mystic FM and Heat FM before joining Slew Dem Crew mid-2004 & crafting his skills on influential stations including Rinse FM & Raw Blaze/Raw UK 90.00 FM. Towards the end of 2005, Spooky saw his 1st official outing as a producer with "Joyride", an iconic dancehall anthem flipped into a classic 8 bar grime instrumental complete with features from Slew Dem & Neckle Camp which went on to top the 1Xtra UKG chart towards the end of 2005. Another 5 years would pass until Spooky's 2nd outing as a producer in 2010 saw "Murderer" become the 1st release on the Oil Gang label. Around this time, "Spartan" was gaining momentum on radio & the clubs and eventually got picked up & released by the No Hoods label. "Spartan" went on to win 2 Grime Awards in 2011 & even got a Radio 1 spin courtesy of Mistajam during his infamous clash with Zane Lowe. Skip forward to the present day, Spooky overlooks the running of his own Ghost House label while still supplying singles & remixes for countless labels and MCs as well as constantly playing in London, the UK and the world over while being supported over the years by the likes of DJ EZ, Digital Mystikz, Mistajam, Tim Westwood, DJ Shiftee (2x DMC World Champion), Logan Sama, DJ Slimzee, Sir Spyro, DJ Cameo, Elijah & Skilliam, Royal-T, Swindle, Kahn & Neek, Amy Becker, DJ Cable, Madam X, Big Mikee, Sian Anderson and many many more!
