Project Bongo was formed at the profound music academy 'Herman Brood Academie' in Utrecht, NL. The members shared a sheer passion for dance beats and pop hooks, and so formed the band around the songwriting formula's of Phoenix, Two Door Cinema Club and MGMT.

Project Bongo has opened shows for acts such as, The 1975, The Mystery Jets and The Boxer Rebellion. Have toured through The Netherlands in association with Popronde, had an international tour through Sweden, played at festivals as Sziget, This is Hultsfred, won the 'Utrechtse Popprijs' and named 'Best Live Act 2014' by '3voor12 Utrecht'.
