The festival will start at 10am and go until 5pm with music, food trucks, health and wellness expo, and the recycled art competition. The bands performing will be:Ricky Lee (and guests) and Mia Bee/Alisa Daisy kicking off in the morning Oceans OrangePaleo SunOctober Chorus (Reunion Show)Sideways DerbyThe Diabetes 5K will begin at 8am (packet pick up and late registration will start at 6:30am)Facebook Event - https://www.facebook.com/events/359897397694224/The Earth Day Music Fest is returning in 2017, along with the Diabetes 5K. This year both the 5K race and the Music Fest will all be held at the Myrtle Beach Speedway on Hwy 501 in Myrtle Beach, SC. On Saturday, April 29th, race check in and registration will begin at 6:30am at the Speedway Ticket Booth. The race begins at 8am. The race is open to all ages and all abilities. There will be an awards ceremony and all runners will receive a finisher medal. The Music Fest will also be at the Speedway with bands performing throughout the day, until 5pm. The Health & Wellness Expo portion will also happen directly following the race. This is an all ages event and people are encouraged to bring their chairs and stay all day. This event combines fitness, awareness, education and fun.All proceeds from both the race and the music festival will all go to The Wellness Council for SC in their efforts to educate people affected by diabetes in the state of South Carolina. More and more people every year are being diagnosed with Diabetes and The Wellness Council for SC is striving to help those people both management their diabetes well and even reverse it, for a healthier and happier future.
