Café Tacuba

After lying dormant for many (too many) years, this grand old movie palace has finally reopened after massive renovation and rejuvenation efforts, thus making one of downtown Oakland's architectural crown jewels into one of the most glamorous places to see a concert in the East Bay. They almost paved this place over and put up a parking lot — but thankfully Paradise won for once.
