Laissez Faire Biography
There are at least FOUR bands known as "Laissez Faire":
1 - Three Piece girl group based out of Miami Florida. Laissez Faire released 4 12" Maxi Singles from 1988-1992 and released the freestyle classic full length CD "Hands Off" in 1992 on Metropolitan Records. Laissez Faire hit the TOP 40 billboard charts with their single "In Paradise" written and produced by Joey Gold in early 1989."After The Lovin" "To Be In Your Arms" and Round & Round all followed with some radio/club play. Laissez Faire still perform at Freestyle concerts across the USA.
2. Five piece experimental hardcore band from Hawaii.
3. A greek band, formed in Thessaloniki during 2006, playing alternative rock music. The band's members are, according to their myspace.com website:
JOHN S. - Lead Guitar
NICK X. - Rhythm Guitar
ALEX M. - Vocals (Male) - Also known as "Milky"
HELEN K. - Vocals (Female)
KOSTAS L. - Bass Guitar
PANOS L. - Drums
As of May 2007, they have performed live only once, in the 2006 Ardas River Festival at Kastanies, Evros, Greece. Three of their songs have been made public via their websites, though in their greek website they claim that they have "a lot of material". The songs are called "Angels", "Pulling Me Down" and "Make Me Glow". The band is currently unsigned.
Laissez Faire, in their myspace.com website, cite bands The Cure, Interpol, Anathema, Archive and The Gathering as their main influences.
