AfroPanther Biography

Born in Hartford, Connecticut and bred to be a hardcore musician; Afropanther is a Space Jungle Club DJ, Producer, and lyrical assassin. Afropanther provides MC skills, ground-breaking production, and DJ mixing techniques of one whose been on the 1's and 2's since the early 80s.

Afropanther has built communities in New York, Montreal, Boston, and Hartford. During her years in Montreal, Afropanther had her first residency under her old alias "DJ Noisewavvesz" at Studio Backstage gaining attention from MTLBlog.com and CanadaNightlife.ca. Today, her energy is rapidly spreading and taking over the country through social media, electrifying DJ performances, photography, and positive vibes.

While paying respect to her influences, Fast Eddie, Masters at Work, MK, Teddy Riley, Crystal Waters, M.I.A, and Kanye West to name a few, Afropanther dives into 4x4 and swing beats with live finger drumming, bringing a raw element to her live performances. Afropanther is known for her eccentric personality and off-the-wall hype team, which are always ready to get down and deliver an unforgettable performance.

Currently, Afropanther is supporting Latasha Alcindor aka L.A. as a DJ on the #LALYTESTOUR, alongside visual artist NonVisuals. The #LALytesTour is multimedia experience that brings 3D projection mapping, hip hop and experimental sound to L.A.'s poetic telling of her heart and mind.

With her latest release "Poetic Daggers", Afropanther is breaking stereotypes within the underground community of production with hard hitting synths, 808s, and stream of conscience styled lyrics. Afropanther as an MC and Producer is guiding the rhythm and poetry back to Rap music with this track.
