Motorheadache UK Biography

MOTÖRHEADACHE IS A THREE-PIECE TRIBUTE TO LEMMY'S MUSICAL CAREER WITH MOTÖRHEAD FOR 40 YEARS FROM 1975 TO 2015. SET UP BY LIFELONG MOTÖRHEAD FAN ROB CAMPBELL ON RICKENBACKER BASS AND VOCALS, ROB CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF LEMMY IN VOICE, STAGE CLOTHES AND HIS GRINDING MID-RANGE BASS SOUND.

Bass Rig: In September 2020, Rob bought a Marshall 4x15 cab that was owned by Lemmy. This cab was presented as a gift to Lemmy by Gerry Bron of Bronze Records and has Celestion G15-100 speakers in it, wired originally in parallel to 4 ohms, but rewired to 16 ohms series/parallel.

To sit on top of the Marshall 4x15 is a Marshall 4x12 bass cab. Originally a JCM 800 series bass cab, it was modified with speaker grills and contains a quad of Celestion G12-65 speakers with 444 bass cones.

Rob's Murder One amp is a Marshall Super Bass dating from 1977, rewired to Lemmy’s specification by a former Marshall engineer and an exact replica cosmetically of Lemmy’s famous amp.

On the other side of the stage is a ‘Lem1992’ Marshall Super bass, once again rewired to Lemmy’s specification and an exact copy of the amp in the Marshall Museum in Milton Keynes.

Bass Guitars: In addition to the Rickenbastard 4004 (with Lemmy’s old HB1 pickups, tuners and guitar strap fitted by Lemmy’s luthier Tim Ellis of T.C Ellis Guitars), a white Rickenbacker 4001 has been added. This has decals and an original design Born to Lose, Live to Win sticker. The Lemmy signed Rickenbacker 4001 used in many Motörheadache gigs was sold to a private collector.

GUITAR DUTIES ARE TAKEN UP BY SHANE HAIGH, WHO IS ALSO A SUCCESSFUL LUTHIER AND IS KNOWN AS THE 'STRING SURGEON'. (WWW.THESTRINGSURGEON.CO.UK).
ON DRUMS IT’S GARRY 'Magpie' BOWLER

MOTÖRHEADACHE HAVE TOURED THE UK AND EUROPE EXTENSIVELY FROM FEBRUARY 2016 ONWARDS WITH MORE THAN 120 DATES AT BIKER RALLYS, LARGE FESTIVALS AND SHOWCASE GIGS IN O2 ACADEMY VENUES IN GLASGOW, NEWCASTLE AND LONDON. EUROPEAN DATES HAVE INCLUDED SWITZERLAND, BRATISLAVA, AMSTERDAM, LINDOS, CYPRUS AND THE FIRST TRIBUTE BAND TO EVER PLAY HARD ROCK HELL IN IBIZA.

THE MAIN BODY OF THE MOTÖRHEADACHE’S SET LIST COMPRISES A LARGE NUMBER OF SONGS FROM MOTÖRHEAD’S FAST EDDIE CLARKE ERA, REGARDED BY MANY MOTÖRHEADBANGERS AS THE CLASSIC ERA FROM 1975 TO 1982. SONGS INCLUDE “ACE OF SPADES”, “BOMBER”, “OVERKILL”, “IRON FIST”, “THE HAMMER”, “DAMAGE CASE” AND THE THUNDEROUS “MOTÖRHEAD”.

MOTÖRHEADACHE ALSO PLAY MATERIAL WRITTEN BY MOTÖRHEAD FROM 1983 THROUGH TO 2015. SONGS FROM THIS PERIOD INCLUDE “KILLED BY DEATH”, “IN THE NAME OF TRAGEDY”, “SACRIFICE”, “RAMONES” “BURNER” AND “VICTORY OR DIE”.

MOTÖRHEADACHE IS PROUD TO HELP KEEP ALIVE THE MUSIC OF MOTÖRHEAD BY PLAYING GIGS ALL OVER THE UK AND EUROPE AND INVITES MOTÖRHEAD FANS TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE AND WORK OF A ROCK ICON AND LEGEND, MR LEMMY KILMISTER.
