April marks the 30th year since the term “steampunk” was first used in a note to Locus magazine in 1987 from author K.W. Jeter.Join us at InVision Cafe to celebrate this most splendid milestone of our unique, retro-futuristic community! Enjoy local coffee, tea, kava, kratom, pastries & more!Featuring the steampunk music of Clockwork Knotwork, Escape The Clouds, and a visit by the steampunk performance troupe Phantasmagoria! Also, we'll have a costume contest and a Nerf gun duel competition!

Escape the Clouds paints vivid steampunk stories through dramatic, energetic music and lyrics. From the cautionary tale of a crack aerial hitman… to a Victorian lady’s scandalous love affair… to a Louisiana vampire hunter’s last gig… to a fresh telling of the Jack the Ripper story, each of his tracks is distilled from ideas either historical or fictional–and many times both.
