The Upper Strata https://www.facebook.com/TheUpperStrata/Trapdoor Social (Los Angeles) https://www.facebook.com/TrapdoorSocial/The Mighty Missoula https://www.facebook.com/mightymissoula/$5 / 21+.#######################################// The Upper Strata (Portland, OR)Expect a blend of electro, disco, glammy R&B, and indie rock. Live, the Portland duo combines guitar, bass, synth, and accordion with loops, beats, found sounds and video. https://theupperstrata.bandcamp.com/// Trapdoor Social (Los Angeles, CA)Trapdoor Social is entering 2017 with a new sense of urgency. After reconstituting itself from a duo to a 5-piece, their eponymous debut album is a raucous, anthemic environmental and social critique, erupting with signature blues rock and bass synth riffs. The new set is an impassioned call to action.Excited to continue combining their music with activism as they've done with past fundraising projects with Homeboy Industries, Mesa Ridge High School, and Kids Cancer Connection, Trapdoor Social will be touring in early 2017 in their solar trailer, putting on clean energy, solar-powered concerts at universities and outdoor venues across the country. 2017 will also bring the second annual Sunstock Solar Festival, a 100% solar-powered arts and music festival in Los Angeles, founded by Trapdoor Social, with all proceeds going to charity. http://www.trapdoorsocial.com/// The Mighty Missoula (Portland, OR)In a saturated world of instrumental post-rock bands, The Mighty Missoula are keeping things simple as a three-piece. Like their namesake, which triggered cataclysmic flooding of the Pacific Northwest, they produce lush and temperamental streams of soundtrack-esque nostalgia. In live performances, they aim to infuse the patience of Japan's MONO and Scotland's Mogwai with a dash of late-90s era Indie Rock. They released their debut EP "Au Nord" on March 10th, 2017. https://mightymissoula.bandcamp.com/#######################################RSVP here:https://www.facebook.com/events/1209000445864965/
