The Dark Fair Biography
Dark Fair is an alt-rock duo from Melbourne. Founded in 2012, the band consists of Ramona Moore (lead vocals and guitar), and Ellie Dunn (drums and vocals)
The band has supported the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Veruca Salt, Adalita, Jen Cloher, Ecca Vandal and Kingswood.
Dark Fair recently finished their debut album, 'Off Into My Head' which the band produced alongside co-producers Adalita Srsen (Magic Dirt) and Marcieca Page (Iron On).
Their music has been described as a mix of Interpol, PJ Harvey, The Breeders and Joy Division.
'First Thing I Become' is the lead single from the album – a song about resilience, self-acceptance and striving for contentment.
Dark Fair's last single, 'Listen Up' in 2015, received airplay on Triple J, high rotation on Double J, plus airplay on community stations across Australia.
Their songs have appeared on the popular TV series 'Wentworth', and in 2017, 'Listen Up' was featured in the official AFL Women’s video.
