Modulus Quartet

Modulus Quartet champions a diverse range of music by living composers. Drawing on its collective experience, the quartet seeks out music of an individual style, developing creative relationships with composers and artists. The quartet explores new ways of presenting music, performing in unusual venues and incorporating visual arts and multi-media technology.The quartet will be performing works from their debut album 12 Seconds of Light by composers Terry Davies, Veera Lummi, Ash Madni, Richard Norris, Eliot Lloyd Short and Matthew Slater.Visuals will be provided by Diego Barazza and Tom Brown.There will be two performances - 4pm and 6pm. Each show will last just over 1 hour.Guests are advised to arrive 30 mins before the showtime to allow time to get into the mine. Guests are advised to wrap up warm! The cafe will be open for hot snacks and hot drinks. Toilets are available at the "house" only - there are no facilities in the mine. Guests will be required to wear hard hats at all times (these will be provided).
