Willis Avenue

Willis Avenue is a Los Angeles-based folk duo: singer-songwriter Sami Posner and multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter, Matt Levy--two musical word painters who like to harmonize. With different musical backgrounds, the pair finds unity in their passion for storytelling. They came together through a mutual love of American jazz standards. After a night of riffing on classic tunes, they realized their blend was something special and decided to collaborate.

Their collaboration was easy, flowing, and quickly sparked into their beloved folk project, Willis Avenue. Their work is unlike many in that everything they write is truly collaborative. When one gets an idea, the other helps see it through to fruition. This, and their shared musical vision, is why Sami and Matt regard each other as their greatest musical asset. The two continue to crank out heartfelt songs that marry story-driven lyrics to perfect chords seamlessly.
