The Westons Biography

One of THE premier trios to be found on the Line Dance & Country circuits today, ‘The Westons’ have that little bit of extra quality that sets them apart from the average band out there on the scene.
Formed by two brothers, Cliff & Paul Weston (remember Cliff from those ‘Corn Dogs’ shows?) + Debbie Weston – she of the amazing voice. Whenever Cliff is NOT tied up as PA & Sound engineer on a Double-H Promotions weekend (and on average that’s 1 in 3 nowadays) he likes nothing more than to get out on the road playing and singing “live” on stage again. It’s in his blood and he doesn’t want to miss out on the chance to get his kicks in that arena again.
Younger brother Paul is a talented and well established vocalist/rhythm guitarist himself – originally the drummer with their family band (way back in the 80s & 90s) Paul moved into solo work on the Country scene where he gained his own reputation as a singer-guitarist for a number of years before finally forming a duo with brother Cliff – ‘The WestonLine’ – and playing to both Country and Line Dance audiences with equal gusto.
The final piece of the jigsaw, and what has created this new and formidable trio, is Debbie Weston – (formerly Debbie Billson, one half of ‘Livewire’) who is blessed with one of THE very best female voices to be found on the Country & Line Dance scene in the UK. Debbie is also an accomplished rhythm guitarist herself, so both she & Paul supply that mid-level fill on the backing of The Westons’ music, with Cliff being a master on lead guitar, pedal steel and Dobro.
Add wonderfully close 3-part harmonies to those attributes, plus a warm & friendly banter on stage, and you will understand why they really ARE such a force to be reckoned with. They play for Line Dance audiences or the more traditional Country Music audiences to equally good effect – there has been nothing but positive and glowing feedback from both sides of the spectrum – so you’ll understand that this is a show you really don’t want to miss if you can help it.
