Soul Push Biography

“We will hear a lot from Soul Push in the future, at least that much is clear.”

After years of writing and performing under different names, Canadian born Andrew Dixon, Dallyn Hunt, and Tim Morrison, paired with South African songwriter Conan Jurek, signed a record deal under the name “Soul Push” with Riptide Music Group in early 2020.

Sporting a fresh image as a clear departure from their former selves, Soul Push has written a batch of new music that represents a shift in identity and their fans are absolutely buzzing over it.

From distant heartbreak and mental warfare to reassuring themes of sexuality and self-actualization, diversity is clear in Soul Push’s wide array of influences and lyrical content.

Harmonizing modernism with the romance of music’s earlier decades, the group affirms that there is still an art in storytelling. For them, music isn’t about finding an identity; it’s about exploring new ones. It’s R&B meets rock-pop, it’s gospel soul meets synthesizers - why put a label on it?

Soul Push was formed after the quartet decided to chase inspiration and temporarily move their lives to Europe. After writing an album in London & recording it in a small town in Portugal, they returned to the North American scene.

In 2019, they debuted their first track, “Diamonds”, alongside an enthusiastic music video with an inside-look on their time spent overseas. “Diamonds” received an overwhelming response, landing global press and airplay across the globe in just a matter of days.

With a fresh batch of songs in their arsenal and a clear trajectory towards a brand new identity, the band is steaming forward with momentum and making it clear that they want us all on the edge of our seats.

“Most (people) are concerned with ‘finds’ and discovering artists before their counterparts, and I must say that Soul Push is one of the best bands that I have ever had the pleasure of stumbling across”
