Tom Cantillon Biography
After two decades of recording albums and touring with bands, Tom Cantillon is stepping into the spotlight on his own terms. Since the Covid lockdown, he’s been quietly crafting his solo material, demoing around 50 songs. “I have a home studio, and my routine is simple: I run or hike in the mornings, then spend the rest of the day working until my fingers bleed, trying to capture something special.”
Being home is a relatively new experience for Tom. After years of life on the road with his bands Tommy and the High Pilots (later renamed Beta Play), Tom spent six to eight months a year touring since 2009. “The road was my life, but right now, it’s all about creating the best possible body of work I can,” he reflects.
These days, you can catch Tom performing acoustic gigs around Southern California as he focuses on this new chapter of his musical journey.
