Andrea Wittgens Biography
NYC-based indie pop singer songwriter Andrea Wittgens lives for the paradox. Slipping effortlessly from ethereal to raw, minimalistic to virtuostic she’s an intensely dynamic performer who defies genre. A passionate songwriter, her songs are meticulously crafted pieces of sonic cinema.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada and raised on string quartets, modern dance and her father’s old jazz records Andrea studied classical piano at University but eventually left to wander west. She cut her songwriting teeth in grunge era Seattle before finally settling in New York City. Over the course of her career she has released 5 albums of original songs. In late 2023 she dropped the first two singles (“1984” and “All The Golden Girls Are Dead”) from a highly anticipated new full length album recorded with LA/Joshua Tree pop producer Ainjel Emme. The album is expected in fall 2024.
