Lannie Flowers Music Biography

Indie PowerPop artist, Lannie Flowers from Fort Worth, Texas, did what no other artist has EVER done at the 2013 LA Music Awards held in Hollywood in 2014. After 23 years of the LA Music Awards history, Lannie Flowers became the FIRST artist to ever win FOUR prestigious awards in Hollywood at the famous Avalon Theater on November 14. Lannie Flowers took home awards for: 'Record of the Year', 'Rock Artist of the Year', 'Breakthrough Video of the Year', and 'Social Media Artist of the Year'. Flowers, hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, captured national attention in March of this year when his video, Another Weekend, became the #1 video on MTV.com. An un-believable feat for an independent artist! The day after the awards show, Flowers and band, boarded a plane to fly from Los Angeles to New York to play tour dates in New York City and Boston. These awards have put Lannie in high demand. Flowers’ next release is a LIVE CD on SpyderPop Records that was recorded earlier this year at The Trash Bar in New York City. Al Bowman, Executive Producer of the LA Music Awards summed up the talents of Lannie Flowers very well by stating, "Without a doubt, Lannie Flowers is one of the most "Beatlesque" American artists to emerge in the past 50 years. His unique writing style and musical compositions set him far apart from other independent music artists." Lannie Flowers is quickly becoming a new leader in modern Power Pop/Indie music. After a successful tour of England, which included the legendary Cavern Club, in Liverpool, Flowers returned to the U.S. with his sights now on the Indie/Pop market in the United States. (U.S. tour dates will include: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Dallas, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and other major U.S. cities). Lannie, who resides in Kennedale, Texas, outside of Dallas, is a veteran artist that, in his earlier years, was wooed by music record labels such as, Columbia Records and Polygram Records. In 2010, Flowers released his highly acclaimed album, Circles. It is the second release in a revolutions of life themed trilogy from Flowers . Circles is a fifteen song celebration of Power Pop that was released in CD format, as well as a three-sided vinyl record. The sophomore CD is a HUGE winner of an album. Sunny tunes, universal lyrics, George Harrison styled solos, and more hooks than a Bait n' Tackle shop. With his sights on carrying his success in the European markets over to the U.S., Flowers plans to spend most of his time touring and promoting his upcoming CD and video. The new CD, New Songs, Old Stories is an eight song EP that provides a connection of the circles theme of Flowers’ first two albums (Same Old Story and Circles) with the eventual final album in the trilogy. The first single from New Songs Old Stories is the song “Another Weekend” is being released in vinyl 45, digital download, and DVD video formats. The video for "Another Weekend" Directed by Norry Niven of Stone Core Films. Niven has worked with American Idol, X-Factor, Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, Kelly Clarkson, Janet Jackson, and many others. In March 2013, the new video was #1 on MTV for "Most Shared Video", #1 for "Most Commented Video" on MTV, and was #7 on MTV for "Most Viewed Video". Quite an impressive award from an Indie artist. Truly at the head of the pack, this pop rocker is making a name for himself in the Indie/European markets. As Riveting Riffs Magazine stated, "This is an artist to keep an eye on". The Daily Vault writes, "A superb musical love letter to the Power Pop genre from a first-rate player and songwriter." "Lannie Flowers' Circles is recommended in the strongest terms" - Musoscribe Magazine "Can't say enough about this one! GREAT!!!" - Kool Kat Musik lannieflowers.com
