What a blast to celebrate Don Henley's birthday with the legend performing some of his greatest hits with some of his beloved and talented friends. We do it bigger and better in Texas and that's exactly what went down. Thank you for the surprise guests and the story telling. Your fans will never tire of the opportunity to hear tales told by the extraordinary man that lived them. I shared a clip (that I wasn't supposed to be recording) of Don Henley singing ....Today Is Your Birthday.... It's My Birthday too.... with my brother who was also born on this day 22 years later. Cheers to the men born on the Cancer-Leo cusp. Happy Happy Birthday!

Don Henley Biography

Donald Hugh Henley (born July 22, 1947 in Gilmer, Texas) is an American rock musician who is the drummer and one of the lead singers and songwriters of the band Eagles. Since the 80´s he had a successful solo career and has played a founding role in several causes.

Henley's music often is running social commentary. One of his more famous songs is "Dirty Laundry." Its origins date back to 1980, when Henley was put on probation for possession of a narcotic and fined for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The ensuing media circus and on-air pundits claiming that his career was over led to the writing of the song, which continues to be an indictment against the broadcast news media. Similarly, "Johhny Can't Read", also on his Can't Stand Still album, continues to resound as a commentary on the educational system.

In 2005 Henley toured with The Eagles. He has a new solo album due out at the end of the Eagles' tour of Europe at the end of 2006.
