Greyfell Biography
EN GREYFELL
At the core of rouen local scene, GREYFELL are the armed wing of the soza collective. Stoner, for the sake of it, not by trend, where hints of black metal, doom and hardcore that are no coincidence either. Drawing influence from sonic heavyweights like type o negative, sleep and kickback, and paying tribute to the ancient spacemen3 as well.
Mastering the inner power of extreme music, their sound proves to be celestial, telluric, and all around massive.
Nagging Guitar riffs piled on a bass sound of an unheard heaviness, chained to drum beats delivered like there's no tomorrow. Hypnotic and tense melodies uphold vehement and incantatory vocals.
Their music will shake the foundations of the powers that be. There will be a light in the dark, there will be quiet before the storm, there will be harmony in chaos.
« I GOT THE SILVER », their first album, a 2015 collaboration between local labels (emergence, terrain vague, grand guru). Followed by french tour, european tour and israeli tour.
Second album in the works.

Bras armés du collectif artistique Soza, les musiciens de Greyfell sont au cœur de la scène indé rouennaise. Stoner par évidence et non pas par mode, les réminiscences black metal, doom et hardcore ne sont pas ici fortuites. Inspiré par d’autres lourds bestiaux comme Kyuss, Sleep ou Kickback, le groupe paie aussi son tribut aux anciens Spacemen 3. Avec la puissance propre aux musiques extrêmes, leur son se révèle massif, céleste et tellurique. Les riffs de guitare lancinants s'enchevêtrent à un son de basse d'une lourdeur sans nom et à des rythmes de batterie menés tambour battant. Le chant, incantatoire et véhément, est soutenu par des mélodies hypnotiques et sous tensions. Leur musique est prompte à faire vaciller les fondations d’un ordre établi, on perçoit une lueur dans les ténèbres, on sent le calme avant la tempête et on distingue l’harmonie dans le chaos.
"I got the silver », premier album co-produit en 2015 par différents labels locaux (Emergence, Terrain Vague, Guru Disque). Suivra une tournée française, européenne et israélienne. Un second album est en cours de préparation.
