SynTheater Biography
Theater based on synthesis of arts, ideas and disciplines
Syntheater is a Boston based professional theater troupe, which performs locally and internationally. The theater synthesizes different forms of art such as theater, dance, music, and literature.
Socially engaging and thought provoking performances showcase performers from different cultural and educational backgrounds: actors, dancers, musicians and mimes from all around the globe. Different artistic expressions are tools for conveying direct and clear messages about social issues, movements, ideas, or philosophical approaches. As a result of that, performances attract more people with different interests and social classes.
Syntheater is based on collaboration with different artists from around the world. Participating in art festivals, workshops and touring with solo performances is a big part of theater’s focus. Syntheater also provides local performances, panel discussions and artistic workshops. It’s a place where anyone can experience art and challenge him or herself. Performances take place in traditional venues such as theaters and art centers as well as non-traditional ones, such as art galleries, factories, lofts, outside areas, and libraries.
Syntheater’s mission is to create high caliber live performances and artistic workshops in Boston and internationally.
Syntheater’s vision is to encourage a social dialogue through thought provoking, and relevant artistic work.
