CRHYMES Biography
Cesar Tellez, better known by his stage name Crhymes, is a Latino Rapper from San Diego, California. He is a former member of the rap duo Tha COR and Program Director of Rap Radio Station DagoSD.com. His first solo album, "One Breath Closer", was released April 2010.
An accomplished freestyle rapper, Crhymes is known in the rap industry for both his history of collaborations and his rapid and inventive delivery.
Growing up in dope houses and foster care, Crhymes found refuge in music. He became a regular at Dadit Entertainment's studio, owned by Mein Danh and Harry Webb, gaining crucial engineering and production skills. When Mein Danh was murdered in 2002, Harry recruited Crhymes to Dadit, both vowing to "follow the music to the end".
Crhymes joined forces with Sicko Records in 2003, appearing on multiple tracks and gaining contacts and exposure. Citing creative differences, Crhymes left Sicko to concentrate on Everkrimes with Ricardo "Everest" Ortiz and Tha COR with Brandon "BGinus" Guaderrama.
2005 saw his involvement in the founding of Internet Rap Radio station DagoSD.com. In 2007, Tha COR released "The Next Level of This" featuring Keak Da Sneak on the hit track "Do My Thang". In 2008, Crhymes began colaborating with idols and Grammy/American Music Award Winners Bone Thugs n Harmony.
"One Breath Closer" Crhymes first solo effort, which featured Bizzy Bone was released April 2010. Crhymes also invited to be a part of the "Latin Lockdown/Latin Unity Tour" 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 & 2016, where he opened up for Chicano Rap Legends Lil Uno, Lil Rob, Kid Frost & Lighter Shade of Brown just to name a few.
Crhymes then went on to to do a duo headling spot on the "Xplicit Crhyme Payz Mini Tour" in May of 2010 with long time friend and fellow artist Lady Xplicit. They blazed their way thoughout Arizona, New Mexico and ending in California. They did it again in 2011 with The Self made-Self-Paid Tour which kicked off Oct. 14th 2011 in Arizona.
Oct.-Nov. 2010 Crhymes began hosting friday nights Lydias Cafe Located in Imperial Beach as Club DagoSD. There we would do a weekly concert showcase with acts such as Keak da Sneak, Philthy Rich, D-Lo, Kafani and as well as many well known San Diego Local Talents.
2011 started off with 2 shows in Los Angeles. One was in Arcadia, were Crhymes opened up for Jayo Felony and the other Near Downtown L.A. were he opened up for The Beat Junkies and BoBo of Cypress hill.
Keep a look out for the lyrical beast known as Crhymes. 4 mixtapes, 2 Group Projects and 2 solo albums later, we find Crhymes working hard on his 3rd Solo project "Thuggery: A Near death Experience" which features Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Bizzy Bone, & Layzie Bone just to name a few. Keep it locked because he isn't done shaking things up.
