Sorry for the Lions Biography
Sorry For the Lions is a New Bedford, Massachusetts Punk rock band comprised of 5 members: Johnny Hurley (Vocals), Zack Baptista (Lead Guitar), Jeremy Hoyle (Rhythm Guitar), Kris Motta (Bass) and Ben Lacasse (Drums). The band saw its humble beginnings at the Dream Out Loud Center for the Arts, where Kris, Ben and Jeremy are artistic instructors, teaching their students how to succeed in a working world with their individual creative skills.
They came onto the local New Bedford scene on Halloween, where Kris, Ben and Jeremy played a show at the community center. After which, they collectively decided to stick together and make music as an official group. The band would go through a few different trial members while they tried to perfect their sound. It was not until the induction of Johnny and later Zack that this sound was achieved, which marked the true birth of Sorry For the Lions. The group now gigs throughout New England with their fun-loving attitude and high- energy performances to bring the innovative approach to the punk rock sound people know and love.
