The SwingTime Dolls Biography

Jillian Rossi (manager/lead vocalist) As the founder and manager of The SwingTime Dolls, Jillian Rossi has been a performer throughout the Lehigh Valley and tri-state area for nearly 15 years. Seen previously as a vocalist for several bands such as Bill Haley’s Comets, The Main Street Cruisers, & Desire, she has also had the opportunity to share the stage with international artists which include Julian Lennon, The Vogues, & Beatlemania, as well as for sports legends; Darryl Dawkins, Joe Frazier & Larry Holmes. A strong education and involvement in theatre has allowed Rossi to fill the roles of “Fanny Brice” in Funny Girl, “Brenda Strong” in Catch Me If You Can, and “Catherine” in Pippin. Other accomplishments include winning the titles of several vocal competitions such as Lehigh Valley Idol and The Miss Hemisphere Pageant. Jillian credits her musical talents to her grandmother, Gilda, who recorded and performed the same cavalcade of standards during World War II. Kim Sehn (alto vocalist) Kimberly is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College where she studied Arts Administration and English. Theatre credits include 13 the Musical (Charlotte), Lucky Stiff (Rita La Porta), Spring Awakening (Anna) and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Gemini) with Black Sheep Productions, HAIR (Dionne) with TKO Productions, and Catch Me if You Can with MunOpCo Music Theatre. She received three Spotlight nominations for her role in Lucky Stiff and won for "Outstanding Performance by a Female Soloist." Kim is so excited to be performing with The SwingTime Dolls and would like to thank her friends and family for their love and support of her involvement in the arts. Kristen Sehn (soprano vocalist) Kristen is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College where she studied Theatre and Media and Communications. She also studied voice while at Muhlenberg and twice performed in the regional NATS singing competition. Previous productions include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Spring Awakening with Sherman Theatre, Sinternet! the Musical at Muhlenberg College, Hair the Musical with TKO Productions, Young Frankenstein at Civic Theatre and Catch Me If You Can with MunOpCo Music Theatre. In the Fall of 2013, Kristen studied abroad in Arezzo, Italy where she studied physical theatre, voice techniques and movement studies at the Accademia dell'Arte. Kristen is honored to be performing with The SwingTime Dolls and wants to thank her friends and family for supporting her love of the arts. Stacy Gabel (swing vocalist) Stacy is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC and also has a degree in TV Production & Speech/Theater from Kutztown University. Originally from the Lehigh Valley, Stacy lived in New York and Los Angeles for several years where she was seen and heard in theaters, cabarets, commercials, billboards and film/TV roles including General Hospital and Nickelodeon. Since returning home, she has been singing and performing with local cover bands, the Bach Choir of Bethlehem, and is a singer/guitarist in the acoustic duo, Secret Coda. She has been seen on the Pennsylvania Playhouse stage, modeling for Rodale, QVC and in local commercials, most recently St Luke’s. Stacy is thrilled to join the SwingTime Dolls which combines her passion of singing close harmonies, dancing, and the big band era. She is ready to swing, boogie woogie, jump and jive anywhere the Dolls will take her! Taking you on a sentimental journey back to the days of WWII, Glenn Miller, and The Andrews Sisters.
