Black Star Safari is a Sacramento based duo. This dynamic band consists of Matthew Mandella on drum and Daniel Green on guitar/vocals. This group's unique songwriting stems from a variety of sources spanning funk, folk, rock, reggae and many others. Both studied musicians, their diverse musical backgrounds have given them a fresh and unconventional approach to writing, while simultaneously adhering to their pop sensibilities.
