Three Shades Blue Biography

Three Shades Blue is a Texas based FULL VOLUME ELECTRIC ROCK BAND that performs a high energy blend of original Southern influenced Rock with a Blues and TX Country/Red Dirt flavor. Their tight, polished sound has helped them rise to the top of the local music scene. They never fail to deliver a “BIG” show to any size audience from 20 to 20,000. Their latest album, “from the heart” is available on iTunes and Amazon. Three Shades Blue has had the honor and privilege to share the stage with many world famous musicians including Rick Springfield, Candlebox, Blackberry Smoke, Ian Moore, Cody Canada and The Departed just to name a few! John Smith, Vocals & Bass, is not afraid to pour his passion for the music through the microphone while laying down a solid bass groove at the same time. Eric Michener, Vocals & Rhythm Guitar, brings a strong vocal presence to the group along with a unique sound on guitar. Ryky Rogers is the foundation on which the heavy TSB sound is built. A powerhouse drummer, Ryky has been playing for close to 18 years. Ryky was nominated in 2010 for "Drummer of the Year" in the Abilene-San Angelo area, and if you come to a show, watch and listen...you WILL be entertained! Ryky Rogers exclusively uses SoulTone cymbals. http://www.soultonecymbals.com/artist/ryky-rogers Ric Rogers is the lead guitarist/head songwriter, and founder of TSB. He has been playing professionally for 20 years, and has toured all over Texas in various bands. In 2010, Ric was awarded the Blues 'n Rock Gazette "Guitarist of the Year" award.
