The band's eclectic musical mix of popular songs performed on bluegrass instruments, original compositions, favorite hymns, and unexpected arrangements along with their tightly-blended harmonies have won them a fan base all over the midwest. Their varied instrumentation ranges from a big Rubbermaid trash can to grandma's old washboard and thimbles, from fiery fiddle to bold banjo, from audacious accordion to bass ukulele, and featuring the always entertaining, never disappointing, giggle-inducing, custom-built Rack Attack, taking audiences by pleasant surprise.Honeytown has performed their unique blend of unpredictable folk americana, rock and roll and progressive bluegrass for conventions, conferences, art shows, weddings, benefits, barbecues, houseconcerts, coffeehouses, and as the showcased musical guests for several performances of the Bluegrass Mass, The World Beloved. They play regularly at Lehman's in Kidron, Ohio, have been the guest band for the men's vocal ensemble, Sonnenberg Station, and have performed at the Kent State Folk Festival's 'Round Town, the Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale, and Lakeside Chautauqua in Lakeside, Ohio. They have also performed at the Mennonite Central Committee's Ohio Relief Sale, the Amish Country Theater, and the Holmes County, Ohio Fair.Dutch Kitchen's delicious dinner includes broasted chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, and green beens, a salad, and a generous piece of pie.
