Toby Johnson

Toby Johnson is a freelance piano entertainer with over ten years of playing piano for parties, pubs, restaurants and more recently has been playing in piano bars. Toby Johnson started to play the piano at the age of six years old and has a deep passion for the piano and its music. After leaving school Toby went on to learn how to restore pianos studying at both Steinway & Sons and The London College of Furniture. For a number of years he had his own business restoring pianos which he sadly had to close due to personal reasons. But Tobys love of the piano continues and he now uses his talent and love of playing the piano to entertain people and is available for weddings and private parties, his repertoire includes classical music, musicals, boogie, light jazz and modern ballads. Toby is not only available to play for parties, christenings, weddings but also for restaurants, bars and cruise ships. Toby’s repertoire is forever expanding and includes a large selection of artists including Elton John, Billy Joel, Roberta Flack just to name a few. However with so much music out there if Toby does not know your favourite song then in these occations Toby often learns songs to order to make your occasion that extra bit special. Toby plays many styles including Jazz, pops, classical, and show tunes. But not only does Toby play these diffent styles he also writes his own music. and his imporvisations are very popular when he plays Cocktail Piano creating atmosphere music.
