About this concert
Sweden meets Germany in violent electronic matrimony.2 bands. 2 concert sets.TraKKtor (S)Stockholms own EBM powerhouse celebrated 15 years of carnage last summer with a U.S tour. This night will feature an extended tour set with old tracks from way back and songs to be released later this year.Massiv In Mensch (D)With over 20 years in the scene these guys are a hallmark of quality electronica. We are singularly proud to host the first ever MiM show in Sweden.Full bio below.MASSIV IN MENSCH – BIOGRAPHY Founded in 1993 by Daniel Logemann and Mirco Osterthun, and at first the band had other names, before they settled on Massiv in Mensch in about 1995/96. After deciding to move from instrumentals to songs with lyrics about human defects and decadence, their debut CD Belas-tendes Material (2000) brought the band to WGT for their first appearance. Noted releases that followed were Menschdefekt (2003), Clubber Lang (2006), Meanwhile back in the Jungle (2008) and „Niemand weiß, was die Zukunft bringt“ (2010). These along with their last release, The Cor-tex Zero Effect (2013), all found their place on the DAC and the GEWC. The band often records their lyrics in German and their lyrics are often humorous, filled with wit and irony. Even though they have only a few songs in English they have a strong fan-base in the UK and North America. Not attached to one sound Massiv in Mensch have covered the spectrum of the electronic music genre. Each CD shows the range of the musical abilities of the band and they never would be content with producing only one sound or genre on a CD. As well they were working on a lot of remixes so far for „Welle:Erdball“, „Lord of the Lost“ or „Komor Kommando“. Returning to the WGT in 2005 and 2012, the band has played shows all over Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and UK (Resistanz Festival). With a new album („Am Port der guten Hoffnung“) due out in the early part of 2017, the band is ready to travel to meet more fans around the world! The band lineup for Sweden is Daniel Logemann (Keys, Vox), Marwin Voß (Bass), Thomas Rauchenecker (Keys) and Muck Kemmereit (Drums).TRAKKTORFounded in 2001.This was "the golden age of EBM", a time when countless bands started up, and fromwhich most of them were but a brief flair or a flavor of the week. However, a few true titans of the genre made their mark, and some of the mostrecognized EBM albums of all time hit the scene.Out of boredom and the need to blow off some steam, TraKKtor was conceived to BE aflair. The band was simply a couple of EBM fans in their early 20's, and there were nomotives or ambitions beyond being loud behind its inception.Ironically, it is now 15 years later, and TraKKtor is still here... unbowed, unapologetic, and standing over a vast ocean of the ghosts of the EBM acts who could not withstandthe tests of time.In 2017, TraKKtor has become a triumverate who form the undisputed meanest andloudest EBM act coming out Sweden. We are still standing true to what we set out todo over a decade ago... Blast bass and beats while taking a piss out of the world we live in. To us, this is what EBM is all about. The only difference between our start and today is that WE now set the standards... Watch and learn...
