The Gypsy Davies

The Gypsy Davies are a Folk/Americana/Soul band drawing inspiration from a diverse spectrum of influences ranging from the likes of Doc Watson & John Prine to Judy Garland & Otis Redding. Formed in 2009, the artistry of the band aims to connect with their fans on multiple levels. Their poignant, intimate lyricism coupled with their passionately charged live performances creates an experience that garners a sense of love, community, fun and friendship. Their live performance includes a long list of genre-spanning originals peppered with a short list of well-curated (if not surprising) covers. The juxtaposition of finger-style “Travis Picking” on guitar from Shane Doyle, infectious melodies arranged by Will Ezzell and powerhouse harmonies from Kayla Doyle makes for a powerful & moving experience. As accessible as they are genuine, the Gypsy Davies consider their fan base dear family with a spirit of camaraderie that is undeniable. The band has just released it’s debut album and has many more exciting adventures coming in the future. They move forward keeping their eyes on the horizon and their hearts in the music.
