Vallite

What began as a project started by guitarists Jared Slemp and Brett Oxtoby (both formerly of Lie Among Us) in late 2015 gained traction with Trevor Nourse (drums) joining the group. Vallite was fully established in early 2016 with the addition of David Chunn (lead vocals) and Jeremy Price (bass, vocals). Since then, the Calgary, Alberta-based band has focused on drawing influences from across the musical spectrum, with influences spanning from Tesseract and Architects to U2 and Coldplay. The result is a sound that is big, modern and dynamic, yet accessible.

Vallite gained some recognition after a key live debut in August 2016, opening for Brazilian power metal band Hibria. Other bands that Vallite has shared the stage with include Scythia, From the Wolves, For a Life Unburdened, Painted Glass and Accostal.

After spending the end of 2016 and early 2017 recording, Vallite stand poised to release their debut EP, Transient, which will be supported by performances both locally and in the surrounding areas over the coming months.
