Dr. Zoidberg

Zoltán Légrádi has been crazy for music since the day he was born (which happened around 1979). He has played various instruments and he has been collecting music since his childhood. His taste of music has always been very diverse, which can be heard from his dj sets as well. He took his first leap into becoming a performing artist during college, when he founded the hardcore band Slambaz with some of his friends and in which he took the role of the singer. It was around this time when he also started to be intrested in djing. He mostly dealt with progressive psytrance and he soon found his own sounds in the genre playing clear, technoid, dark progpsy and psytech. He gained reputation in the psy scene under the name Oyle, but around 2004 he started to distance from the genre because he thought it had nothing more to offer him. So finally he became a truly eclectic dj. His sets started to include tracks that before, he was only listening at home. He also felt that he should start his new career under a new alias, thus in 2005 Dr.Zoidberg was born. He has worked together with many teams in the past, he was a member of the Protoplazma/Protoneon crew, he was a resident dj of the SubLab and Végre Péntek! clubnights and party.[origo].hu events. He has also written articles for online magazines and made interviewes with many djs, including Kurtis Blow, Tiga, Antony Rother or Roger Sanchez. Nowadays his sets mainly consist of techno and tech-house, but depending on the circumstances he also plays (minimal/deep/progressive/jazzy) house or experimental techno, but sometimes he might even play acid, tribal and breakbeat or a reggae/dub/ambient/ska/jazz sets. He is also a member of the 3 dj’s – 1 turntabilist formation called Multi Effect Proffesor. Now he is a member of two teams: the Naphon foundation, who organized the first acid and tribal parties in Hungary and NVC who have became one of the most dinamically developing promoter crews in Hungary in the last few years . His entry to NVC happened almost automatically in 2006, when – after playing at almost every party that the crew organized – they asked him if he would like to join the rookie NVC. The Doctor was happy to say yes to the sympathetically crazy team with a fresh view. Their co-operation, which is based on hard work, talent and friendship has been going on ever since.
